The Effective Classroom Team

Christine Lowry, M.Ed. and Rachel Kincaid will lead this interactive, two-part, online series for Montessori classroom teaching teams. Each session will invite participants to bring their real-life situations and questions to the discussion of best practice for supporting students and one's teaching partner in the Montessori environment. Topics will include the mechanics and rationale of observation, communicating with your teaching partner, planning and presenting lessons and more.

About the facilitators: Christine Lowry, M.Ed., has a master’s degree in special education and a Montessori educator’s credential. She has founded two schools with the mission of serving diverse learners and has worked with students from toddler age through adolescents. With her 25 years’ experience working with students with challenges in Montessori settings, she has a wealth of knowledge and practical guidance to share.
Christine has presented at several local, state, and national conferences. She is a Montessori teacher trainer and consults with schools to develop systems of support and provides coaching in the development and implementation of individualized behavior support plans.
Rachel Kincaid earned her North Carolina teaching license in 2002 and her Early Childhood Montessori Certificate in 2012. She has served as a classroom assistant, a classroom guide, a school co-founder and a head of school.
